Tectonic evolution and its control on oil–gas accumulation in southern East China Sea since the Jurassic

چکیده
Based on the results from previous research Mesozoic igneous rocks, as well tectonic environments in northern South China Sea and southern East (NSCS-SECS), geophysical parameters, strata, characteristics of seismic facies NSCS-SECS were investigated. These findings combined with analysis balanced profile evolution to re-evaluate SECS since Jurassic. Furthermore, burial history simulation wells analyzed using well, source rock data. favorable models oil–gas accumulation Lower–Middle Jurassic proposed combination studies elements conditions petroleum system. The Himalaya-Tibetan orogen has become the paradigm for continental collision and is central to deciphering continental tectonics. Neogene extension in the orogen is not predicted by plate tectonic theory, and its significance is widely debated. In the Himalaya, north-south extension is restricted to the Southern Tibetan Detachment System (STDS), which juxtaposes the High Himalayan Crystalline ...
متن کاملKuroshio Meanders in the East China Sea
An array of seven inverted echo sounders was moored along and across the Kuroshio in the East China Sea for more than one year. The data from this array show evidence of energetic meanders with periods of 7, 11, and 16 days. The respective phase velocities of these meanders are 28, 20, and 17 km day21 downstream. The 7and 16-day waves are intermittent, but the 11-day waves are present throughou...
متن کاملSediment-Mass Accumulation Rate and Variability in the East China Sea Detected by GRACE
The East China Sea (ECS) is a region with shallow continental shelves and a mixed oceanic circulation system allowing sediments to deposit on its inner shelf, particularly near the estuary of the Yangtze River. The seasonal northward-flowing Taiwan Warm Current and southward-flowing China Coastal Current trap sediments from the Yangtze River, which are accumulated over time at rates of up to a ...
